Winterize Your Outdoor Event with Seasonally Appropriate Décor

If you live in the vicinity of Southampton, PA, one of the areas our tent rental company serves, you’re well aware of the plummeting temperatures this time of year. Sure, we can theoretically install one for your potential outdoor event this winter, but anyone who would consider doing something like that is surely out of their mind, right?

Think again.

Since we’re fully capable of heating the structure you’ll be using outside, you can rest assured that your guests will be warm and comfortable during your function. So now that you know this is possible, consider challenging yourself to go above and beyond their expectations with your wedding reception, corporate event or anything else by doing the unthinkable—hosting it outdoors.

If you decide to pitch that tent out in the open air, the fun part will be adorning it to suit the season. Ring in the winter at your function with these decoration ideas:

Hanging Ornaments

Take the largest Christmas tree ornaments that you can find, attach them to silky ribbons (or string) and hang them up around the edges of the tent. Alternating between red and white is tasteful and seasonal, but if colorfulness is more your style, going all out with them will also look great. Think about the purpose of your event to help decide which is most appropriate.

It doesn’t have to end with ornaments either. Try stringing up pinecones (all the better if you can find nice real ones) and hanging those, too. You can even dip them in white paint and add glitter if you really want to go the extra mile!

Christmas Lights

The holidays are over but winter surely isn’t, and Christmas lights look great through the whole season. They’re also relatively inexpensive, so you definitely won’t break the bank with this one. Much like the ornaments, think about whether colored or all white lights will make the most sense for your event. Wrap them around the tent poles, hang them along the edges of the canopy or get creative. Wherever they go, Christmas lights will add to the wintry feel of your function, and leave it looking great.

Table Centerpieces

Are you hosting a sit down event? If so, give your table centerpieces a winter twist. If you have any extra ornaments and pinecones from the hanging project lying around, those will make for a perfect addition. Place them in a container of your choosing (like a nice vase or large glass bowl) along with some wintry “greens,” like pine or juniper leaves. Dip some of the pinecones in white paint and leave the others alone, then mix and match. It’ll be hard to go wrong with your centerpieces, because the combinations are virtually endless.

With just a little bit of creativity, your tent can look outstanding in no time, and you will not have spent much money achieving it. Your guests will be impressed, and your event will be remembered for many winters to come. Despite the cold weather around here, like Holland, PA, step outside of the box, rent a tent from us, and host your function outdoors!
