5 Tips if You’re Hosting Thanksgiving Outside This Year

Thanksgiving outside?! You must believe that we’re crazy. But if you think about it, the first Thanksgiving was held outside, and everyone had a great time. Sure, we know that Thanksgiving is normally held indoors, but where’s the fun in that? You’ve probably had it that way you’re entire life. Why not try something new? At Tents & Events, we provide tent rental in Abington, PA, and other local areas, which comes complete with heating, so you and your guests won’t have to worry about being cold during your holiday celebration. If you’re thinking about having Thanksgiving outside this year, here are five tips to keep in mind:

1.    Hire a rental service – We might be biased, but this is probably the best way for you to enjoy your outdoor Thanksgiving. At Tents & Events, we can provide you with tents, tables, chairs and even heating. We’ll also take care of your food so you won’t have to go crazy preparing everything.

2.    Add decor – Since it’s a holiday, we recommend throwing a few fall decorations here and there. Even if you’d rather not use that giant inflatable turkey that your daughter wants to set up, you can still add some autumn-colored tablecloths, Thanksgiving-themed centerpieces, pumpkins and gourds.

3.    Remember to stay warm – This one is a given. Thanksgiving takes place near the end of November, so it can get pretty cold outside. Luckily, at Tents & Events, we offer heating along with our tent rentals in Montgomery County, PA, and the surrounding areas. You should also bring some extra clothes to bundle up.

4.    Plan it out – You can work with our event consultants to plan out your day. We’ll make sure it’s special and everything you hoped for in a Thanksgiving celebration. We’re flexible, so we can help you plan a dinner for 10 people or 1,000 people!

5.    Make sure the kids have fun – If kids are coming to your Thanksgiving dinner, then you’ll need to find ways to keep them entertained. We suggest keeping a few games at hand to help with that.
